Our decadent take on the classic carbonara includes salty pancetta, eggs and delicious Italian cheeses. Carbonara is a dish of great significance in the history of modern Italy, first appearing in the 1950s when it was served to American GI's following the Allied liberation of Rome. Serve it with your favourite pasta shape for a delicious taste of Italian history.

Serves 1-2

METHOD

Heat the pancetta in a frying pan on a medium heat until sizzling. Add 4 tbsp of water used for cooking your pasta to the pan, and the sauce and heat sauce through until steaming. Stir through with fresh pasta, we recommend our rigatoni.
